It is suggested in the new Mal Evans biography and makes sense to me that Ringo’s drums were be-flowered when he returned to EMI to play for Jackie Lomax’s ‘You’ve Got Me Thinking’ on 27 August 1968. The session was produced by George and it was at his instigation that Mal brought in the flowers for Ringo.

If Ringo played on Dear Prudence, explain the elaborate decking of flowers over the drum kit on his return to EMI.
